tldr: BUY if you want an awesome light gaming mouse, DONT BUY for 8k or 4k polling
I went from 69g corsair katar pro to this 39g mchose l7 and it feels like I am holding nothing but air and makes a massive difference how long I can play osu before fatigue. Not having the friction of a wire feels so good.
If you want to modify the mouse settings look for "mhub" it is their online software, works great. clicks are quieter or at least lower pitched - very nice :D
I play osu, which in theory benefits greatly from the high poling since the game easily runs at 1000fps. However, setting the poling rate to 4k or 8k floods your cpu thread 1 with work, thread 1 is very important for other stuff too like running your game... so when you make rapid mouse movements that require the mouse to actually report that fast it results in disgusting stutters in game. I have a ryzen 5 9600x whose cpu core speed is blazing fast. Set polling to 2k and forget about it, your battery will last longer and you won't get stutters. if you really must have higher poling 4k was not too bad, increasing my input latency reported by the game from 1ms to 1.4ms mostly and up to 23ms when making really rapid movements, and no difference when moving the mouse too slow to require the full 4k.
8k poling would increase the reported input latency to 63ms when moving the mouse fast, and also tanked fps.
Input delay is mind-blowing, I can't tell the difference really wired vs wireless.
The mouse comes with grips stickers you can add on, I am using the ones on the clickers, they feel nice and the ones for the sides I cut up smaller just for where my fingers touch, the ones for the palm are just uncomfortable. Remember they add weight so cutting them smaller keeps you closer to that sweet 39 grams
EDIT UPDATE: Today I updated the firmware for the mouse and wireless receiver again and now the 8k and 4k poling modes no longer give significant fps drops when moving the mouse fast. Hooray :D - Extremely Responsive and Linux friendly? Hidden gem - Amy, 12 May 2025
For if you need an opinion on: sensor latency, CPI, click latency, quietness, and configuration *Linux.
I was debating between the Scyrox V8 and this Mchose L7 Pro as I didn't want to spend upwards of R3,000 just to have a good wireless mouse (Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2).
So I went to rtings.com to compare these two, and I was surprised to see that they are similar in almost all aspects, only that this Mchose performed just as well as the Logitech in the CPI/DPI area, and the Scyrox fell a tiny bit short. This doesn't really matter unless you play games (especially fps), and in my case are sensitive to the more "unnoticeable" stutters that you tend to pick up on when using a mediocre mouse with a 144Hz monitor.
For a wireless mouse that is this responsive, I'm surprised that it's also quieter than most mouses I've used before. If you are obsessed with quiet setups like I am, you likely won't find this mouse impressive, BUT it's still quieter than what I expected, and I cannot complain at all.
The last thing, and something that might interest *LINUX USERS especially: you don't need to install software to configure this mouse. You can change all the settings you would be able to in the app, on their website if you log in and connect your mouse. This is a game changer if you're using Linux, as I'm sure you're aware that Logitech doesn't really support that OS for configuring its peripherals. This is what ultimately led to me choosing this mouse. I'm very happy with my decision.
And Wootware was a dream, as always <3 - Probably the best budget mouse for this shape - Roelof, 4 March 2025
Coming from a Viper Ultimate, I wanted to scale down from a fairly light 74g, to something lighter and smaller. After scouring the internet for a few days, my research led me to a company called Mchose, and boy do they have some amazing "clones" on the market.
The mouse is very sturdy for it's weight and size, only flexing on the bottom of the mouse, which you'll never press on regardless. The sensor is excellent, and the fact that you don't have to install software, but instead can use a web interface to make changes to your mouse, is amazing and severely underrated. I use a fingertip/claw hybrid grip and this is incredible. The only thing I didn't like was the stock feet, so I swapped them out for virgin PTFE dot skates(ESPTiger dot skates ICE), and that was the chef's kiss!
My accuracy has most definitely improved with the dramatic drop in weight. For the price, I'd highly recommend this mouse, and as always, Wootware's service was top notch. I would update the description of the mouse though, as it looks like the base model, but is in fact the Mchose L7 Pro. - Probably the best budget mouse for this shape - Roelof, 4 March 2025
