AMD 100-100000059WOF Ryzen 9 5950X 16 Core 3.4GHz (4.9GHz Boost) Socket AM4 Desktop CPU - Cooler Not Included

Paired this with a crosshair hero VI; had to upgrade the BIOS first and then it worked first time. This CPU is a beast for gaming and even with all my VM's and IDE's running, I can still just open HD2 on max graphics and stop and go right back to work. It's a pretty great upgrade from the 3800XT I had before.

I recently ordered this CPU and installed it on an X570 board and the performance gains are well worth the price. It may be be considered older technology now that the new CPU's have been released but its still a workhorse. It does run hot though so water cooling is an absolute must to prevent thermal throttling and potential damage.

Added this to my old X370 board, works out the box (bios updated). Works fine with my 3600 DDR4 RAM. A few caveats, you need a really beefy cooler to run this, had to tweak my cooler considerably from my old silent R7-1700 setup. Boosts to 5050Mhz on single cores no problem. Runs at Stock-Mhz to 4500Mhz all cores depending on your individual settings. Was a good deal at the price.

Upgraded to this CPU from Ryzen 1700X. I ran the 5950x on B450 board for a while no issues and got it to run better with curve changes. I did switch to X570. Also running memory at 4000mhz.

Awesome CPU, delivers in every aspect - multi core as well as single core. Even though the newer architectures from both AMD and Intel are around the corner, this CPU is not only the pinnacle of AM4 but also built on a solid and mature platform. Dependable, fast, optimized.

This is a great CPU! It is very powerful and it is running considerably cooler than my previous i9-9900K. This CPU is also from a very mature product range and as such I have not experienced any technical difficulty since using it.

5950X discounted to 11,999.
Sure, new CPUs are right around the corner, but the 5950X is a great CPU and worth the cost, especially if you already have an AM4 system.

Upgraded from 3950X to 5950X - single core performance is greatly increased, multi-core is a few percent higher while also being a smidge bit more power efficient from what I can see. (probably better binned?)
In gaming, easily 25% more FPS in games like hunt showdown comparing Zen2 to Zen3.

I expected to pay a lot more for one of these, but this is priced very competitively.
The CPU itself was a great upgrade for my old R7 2700X and works great on my Asus X470 Prime. If you're a gamer this chip is perfect since it performs a lot better in games than older Ryzens and for productivity you're probably already satisfied with your older Ryzen, but this is even faster. I see no reason not to upgrade if you already have invested in a motherboard compatible with it.

I really like this cpu, i did not win the cpu chipset lottery but its extremely useful and value for money. Great for 3D design work or UE5 work. VVery fast but you need a good cpu cooler

The value for money on this cpu is insane, absolutely love it. A beast for rendering with Arnold and using Houdini. I recommend getting fast enough ram anything below 3000mhz will give you a performance hit!
