This CPU is on a reasonable level I think if you want an awesome contender then this is it. With the given clock speeds I think it's more than capable Octa core and overclockable if needed.

I was a bit skeptical about making the switch from intel to AMD, but I have absolutely no regrets and would highly recommend this CPU. Excellent performance thus far! The stats and temperatures speak for themselves. Also, the included stock cooler is actually quite great.

I upgraded from an i7 6700k, which was not a bad CPU. This is a different beast altogether, it does seem to run a bit hotter even with an AIO cooler.
However, 8 cores, 16 threads. It eats everything like it's nothing.
