I am very happy with this CPU. Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600X, to compliment the Sapphire Radeon RX 9060 XT NITRO I bought, so no bottlenecks. Solid CPU.

Just a really good cpu... be sure enable DOCP, pbo and to undervolt to -30... cause these cpus run hot... stock cooler is cable of keeping it cool enough not to throttle but an aftermarket cooler is recommended. Got this paird with a 6800 GPU and 4000D case.

This CPU works great with the b550 elite v2 motherboard. I was using n i5 6400 intel Cpu before, but this cpu is amazing not running to hot and do so much more.

I have had this CPU for about 2 years now, and it has been excellent. Paired with a RTX 3070ti it runs very well on 1440p. Easy to cool as well so for budget builds this is great.

I'm very happy with this CPU. It is a big step up from my old 3rd Gen I5.

I will warn you about compatibility issues with the B450 and X470 Chipset motherboards. BIOS problems(regardless if you are using the correct version for the product) may occur with some brands. I'll be buying a b550 to pair with it as it is a 5000 series ready board. Hopefully that will solve my issue.

I upgraded from a 5 1600 to this - nice upgrade, faster loading times in BG3. Will make my system last a few more years until i need to move to AM5

Massive performance gains over my previous Zen+ processor. No more stuttering and nonsense. RAM is able to OC to rated speed, now my RDNA2 GPU seems to be the bottleneck.

Used with a stock cooler and a Fuma 2 this thing runs like a beast. It overclocks to 4.7 GHz all-core like it's nothing. It gives me an almost 200% improvement over my old FX 8150 and at a great price.

A high-end CPU (at the time of writing) which comes at a really affordable price. Default thermal solution works well enough in a basic setup with 1-2 chassis fans and no overclocking being done.

I can't believe how cool the chip is, it doesn't run that hot even with the stock cooler. The single core performance is definitely a bell ringer. It even beats past generations of ryzen 7 and a few Intel i7 as well.

It true is the best budget cpu for gaming, though it deserves to be amongst the elites.

Excellent service and communication, really kudos to the team! The CPU is amazing, it runs a little hot under full load in 30+C heat in KZN, going to get an after market cooler to keep the temp below 80C at full load, although all my research indicates that 80C is fine and normal.

This CPU is the bomb. Running it with an (NZXT RL-KRX73-01 Kraken X73 360mm RGB Black AIO Liquid CPU Cooler) and the temp results are incredible. What you pay for and what you get from this CPU is really fantastic. It was one of many parts I ordered from Wootware and all arrived 2 days before schedule with good communication and updates from them.

I really enjoy the performance from this CPU. It is so much faster and efficient than what I had in my PC, which was a first gen i7. It was time for an upgrade. And this was an awesome way of switching from team blue to team red.

I have this paired with my RX6750XT, an X570 mobo, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz RAM and an EVGA Supernova Fully Modular PSU. The performance is way better than my first gen Intel Core i7 920. It was a very worthwhile upgrade. Its just pure awesomeness!

I've have matched this cpu with my Asus b550 A gaming mobo and with 2 x ripjaws 8 GB 3600mhz ram a512 GB muchkin SSD ,500 GB hdd 650 w PSU phantecks p400a caseRGB baby graphics card I'm still contemplating ,mayb a 3060 or 70ti hmm

Runs like a dream. If you aren't going to wait for AM5 and you want something that sits comfortably between budget-friendly and beastly, this midrange CPU is the best choice.

Best value for money if you are wanting to build a good gaming PC. I pared this with a 3070ti and all I can say I do not regret it one bit. Its always nice to go higher spec but this one will perform great for 90% of PC users

I'm not overclocking at all but this is a great CPU. I use it in my gaming PC which doubles up as my streaming PC as well. I would just recommend getting an aftermarket cooler as the stock Wraith cooler isn't the greatest and this CPU does heat up quite intensly under load (90+ when rendering videos)

Using this in a living room console PC, so I'm mostly GPU limited, but I would recommend it.
I've been buying AMD since Ryzen 1700, keeps getting better and more stable. So far this is rock solid.

Its a gaming beast pairing perfectly with my 3060ti. Might want to get a better cooler with it as it runs extremely hot even if its auto boosting no OC

I upgraded from a 3800x, and although it feels bad going from an 8 core CPU to a 6 core CPU in principle. In practice, it's a great upgrade. It really helped my CPU intensive games, and in my favourite ones I am getting double the FPS I got before. It feels very snappy and responsive, and I am super happy with the upgrade.

I upgraded from a ryzen 3600 and the performance boost in games made a decent enough difference for me. I highly recommend getting a custom cooler even its a cheap one for 400 rand as the stock cooler is horrendous at keeping this cpu within usable thermal limits.

After coming from a Ryzen 5 1600af, the performance boost was a major difference! Its a solid cpu that handles pretty much everything. Pairs well with a 3060.

Massive improvement over my 4690K i5, has breathed new life into my aging gtx 970. Got a good chip as well, scoring 4900 in CPU Z multi thread. Haven't played around with PBO 2 and negative curb optimizer yet and loading at 56 in Cinebench r23 all core with a Deep Cool Gammaxx GT

Absolutely blown away with this beautiful beast! Finally upgraded from my trusty 6700k and no need to tell you, the difference in performance is other worldly!

Loading times & performance are insane and no matter what I throw at this 6 core 12 threaded beast, all she says is "FEED ME MORE" !
It comes with a cooler so if the budget is tight there is enough time to save up for a nice aftermarket cooler & you will need one as the stock wraith cooler supplied just isn't good enough if you're a heavy gamer . I was constantly kissing the mid 80°C in demanding titles.

Needless to say the service I received from Dominic & the rest of the team @ Wootware was top notch and I will definitely be using them for further upgrades.

Upgraded from an i7 7700, and I am left in shock. THIS THING IS AMAZING. Greatest investment for my PC by far, amazing performance in all my games. I have it matched up with an RTX 2060 6gb and can I say they compliment each other amazingly. No issues what so ever!

I purchased this processor to finished my personal build that I was working on and I'm loving it. It is the best processor that I have used to date. I received my order the day after purchasing so for Wootware's excellent service I give a huge recommendation.

I absolutely love this CPU. I upgraded from Intel 3770k to this 5600x and my gaming fps increase was anywhere between 15% and 100% increase with the same 1080ti, depending on the game. This CPU does get hot with the stock cooler. My temps where consistently in the high 80's to low 90's. I switched to a 120mm water AIO, I know not the best AIO, but that brought the CPU temps down by 20 degrees!! Now I can sustain the boost clock for a lot longer and saw a further 15% performance increase in CPU-bound tasks, just by lowering the temps. AMD really has some of the best CPU's on the market, if your goal, like mine, is for pure gaming.

My CPU bottleneck is gone, the stock cooler is perfectly adequate for my needs right now.
I'm very happy with the performance improvement.
I can recommend the 5600X with confidence.

Upgraded from a i7 4790k, now a respectable 7 years old which showed what a beast it was in its day.. still fine for most things, but i noticed more and more decreased performance while gaming, especially on intensive games like RDO and even ESO. Well, i can safely say i should have upgraded long ago - the difference is massive and this new truly is a beast!!! I also love the AsRock B550 Steel Legend mobo and now finally have DDR4 ram at 3200mhz as well. Temps is a little high on the stock cooler, i saw it max out at about 83... but 95 degrees is apparently the max safe temps for this cpu, but your boost speeds will be reduced the higher the temps go, though mine sits at 4.650mhz out of the box and on air cooler only which is great in itself!

Going to get a liquid cpu cooler soon and then im sorted for the next 6 or 7 years!

This CPU is truly a monster. I get around 4.7GHz out of the box. I recently got hold of an RTX 3070 and my R5 2600 was bottlenecking me badly at 1080p. With this beast frames went up around 40-50 in most games.

Paired with a 3060 Ti, the cpu reaches high 70 degrees with the stock cooler when playing games at full settings. Would advice to get better cpu cooler.
Also the stock cooler is very noisy when running at full speed.

I definitely have not pushed it to it's limits yet, but I have already noticed a major jump in gaming performance by changing my CPU, board, and RAM (GPU remained as is). Now I can clearly see my old GTX 970 is the bottleneck! Great CPU, just wished it was slightly cheaper.

This CPU is a monster, the speed difference between this and my aging i3570k was staggering.

Coming from a 7700k this was a huge upgrade. While waiting for my new gpu to arrive I already had a much more stable fps in aaa games. If you plan on overclocking I do recommend a 3rd party cooler as the wraith stealth is a useful inclusion but no great.

While I had to set my voltage manually (Or else I had massive temp issues) I can now sit at boosts of 4.6 Ghz at around 67c with the stock cooler.

Performance is great, as you'd expect for this price range.

Love this CPU, it was a big upgrade from my i5-4690K. I did use an aftermarket cooler (cooler master 620p) so I can't talk about the included cooler though. This CPU is hotter than Intel, but idle temps aren't more than 5 to 7 degrees above my i5-4690k both at stock, so this is good considering the performance difference, my temps under full load was around 75 degrees Celsius at 4.3 GHz so either I was lucky or this CPU and cooler combination handles temps rather well in my opinion for an all air cooled system. Good CPU for gaming, not sure on using it as a streaming and gaming PC all at once because I don't stream and play games, but still a very good choice in my opinion for gaming.

Whilst these reviews are required to be longer than 30 words. There is no need as I would whole heartedly recommend this CPU to absolutely every gamer. Low power draw, included cooler, boost clocks never dropping below 4.4ghz on air and you have a sure fire winner here.

Paired this CPU up with a 280mm Fractal AIO Cooler. With PBO with MB (B550 MPG Gaming Plus) recommended power delivery enabled it draws 110W from VRM's, running all cores at max with a boost of 4.55 GHZ! Single core loads boost consistently at 4.65 GHZ with No problems. Benches way above Intel's Core 10900K in single workloads, and way above 10600KF in multi threaded loads. Running SOTR Benchmark paired with RX6800 at 1080p ULTRA still gets bottle-necked by GPU. Pretty Impressive little CPU!

Surpasses every expectation that I could ever have had of a processor at this price point. I replaced my aging i7-6700k and have seen considerable improvements across the board. My particular chip averages a 4.45Ghz boost clock with air cooling and a power draw of half that of my previous processor.

Great service from Wootware. Paired this with a new B550 motherboard and old 2400 memory. Slight performance improvement compared to a Ryzen 5 2600. I ordered some 3600 CL16 memory from Wootware which should boost performance to the levels the CPU can really deliver.

I was a little worried about playing new AAA titles on a CPU with only 6 cores, but this guy handles all the games I have thrown at him with ease. I have not had any problems with this CPU so far, making it an easy recommend. I have even found the base cooler to be plenty good, with my temps maxing out in the high 60's at the moment.

Wootware is really stepping up their game! One of very few retailers to have this (and the other ryzen 5000) in stock in SA on release day and has remained in stock / coming soon since. Price is also very good.

I'm very happy with mine, on benchmarks I often get higher scores than reviewers. This cpu is fantastic for gaming, it doesn't bottleneck my 3080 at 1440p max setting (warzone and cold war at 150-180 fps)
