Built this in the wifes rig and so far still holds up and AM4 is not dead yet so great as a starter to keep budget down, paired with a 3060ti it handles everything and so far runs pretty cool

Replaced a 3400G. Its day and night difference. Great multi core performance for basic workstation work and it can game like a beast.

Bought this CPU as it suited my budget best for the things, I need to do on my PC. Absolutely blazes through any game and editing software I throw at it and a major upgrade from my ageing 4th gen i7. Should be a good pairing with a RTX 3060ti/RTX 4060 and RX 6700xt and even the RX 7600/XT for us budget users.

This cpu has a fantastic price and awesome performance. It can handle most to all games you throw at it. Boasting 6 cores and 12 threads, this CPU is a must buy for budget builds. 5 stars from me

I've never used a Ryzen product before, so I was a little skeptical at first. Now I realize I should have opted for the 5600, because this is fantastic. Excellent product!

Happy with the performance on Windows 11 and games, no complaints at all, I do not do video editing or streaming etc so it works fine for what I use it for

Upgraded from 2200g to R 5 5500 it runs great on my b350 pc mate with my xfx Rx 6500 xt really the performance

Nothing is perfect else there'd be no room for development however this is quiet the improvement from my R5 3600g, definitely a solid recommendation for a budget upgrade or to start off with

The Ryzen 5 5500 is basically a 5600G with the iGPU disabled. AMD Ryzen Master actually detects the the iGPU, but you can't enable it.
Performance is similar to a Ryzen 7 2700X at stock speeds, however the 5500 uses half the amount of power and produces less heat.
You loose out on about half the L3 cache the 5600 has, so keep that in mind.
Since it's based on the 5600G core, there's some headroom for overclocking.

Product is working 100% as intended, upgraded from a older gen i7 to this and it performs amazingly, gaming fps increased with 30% and CPU handles all AAA titles with ease. PC feeling like a new beast again.

if you're on a budget this is a really good value for the money, only thing that might not stand out when reading up about it, is that it doesn't support PCIe 4.0 which really isn't that big of a problem in the real world, you're missing out on a few seconds and depending on the game maybe 5 - 8 FPS at most. Really good budget CPU.

Absolutely love this little CPU. It performs well and has not backed down form anything I have thrown at it. The included Wraith CPU cooler works weel and keeps it cool under load.

This CPU is fantastic and fast. Could basically run Blender smoother with those 6 core and speeds. a big difference with 2 cores and 4 cores I ran before.
Very Good with GT710 before and the RTX 3060 I have now.

Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1600 AF and the performance increase is noticeable with more stable frames. Only had to update my MSI B450 Tomahawk's BIOS and could continue with my daily work.

If you're buying a new system (CPU, motherboard and RAM), rather go for Intel's 12th gen or wait for Ryzen's new CPU series line up.

It is a great CPU upgrade from my previous g4560, it paired nicely with auros b550. Hopefully it will be able to pair nicely with a rx6600 that l intend to buy. Great purchase

Great product, was easy to install and works 100%. Made a huge difference to my wife's computer and seems to be a good CPU for gaming. Her Rust now runs well even on an out dated graphics card.

Budget CPU, but performs really good. First 5500 for me, but really works well so far. I think it would last a couple of years before it falls behind the latest CPU's. Quality on AMD is great these days. Intel is not the best anymore.

The Ryzen 5-5500 is worth the upgrade from my Quad-core Ryzen 3 2200G. My Competitive Gaming Performance has nearly Tripled with my gaming build. Very satisfied!

This is my very first custom PC build with a RTX 3050 and the Asus Prime B550 and I've never been this impressed for an online shop ever! This CPU performs well with high end games and with Windows 11. I run Cyberpunk and Far Cry 6 on either Ultra or High with RTX on and this CPU supports it all the way. Would recommend definitely if this CPU is in your budget. Big W for Wootware!

Not as quick as the 5600, but a steal for the price and great for multicore workloads. Was a great upgrade from my friends old 2600k he had and pairs really well with a 3060 Ti

I use this in a home Unraid server on a spare x570 mobo with virtual machines and many docker containers. So far it has been a pleasure! I slammed RAM in with 7 Hard disks all running well. 24/7 use.
