The ASUS TUF RX 9070 XT is an outstanding card that runs cool, quiet, and powerful. It handles 4K gaming with ease and delivers excellent performance for the price. The build quality is rock solid, as expected from ASUS TUF, and the design looks great in the case.

A nice bonus — it even comes with a multi-tool screwdriver that doubles as a GPU support stand, which is a clever and practical touch. My unit arrived safely and in perfect condition, and as always, Wootware’s service was excellent.

This card is a vast improvement, performance wise, over my previous card, A RTX 2080, which served me faithfully and trouble free for six years. The card worked straight out of the box, without any problems. I did ensure my Bios and chipset drivers were up to date and did a clean Win 11 install, coming from a Nvidia installation. The card performs very well, and is very quiet with default settings. One thing though, the memory runs very hot. With Adrenalin set to "prefer performance" the memory chips temp settled at 96 deg C, which troubled me considerably. Set at "prefer efficiency", they sit at 85 deg, which is what I regarded as max temp for a semiconductor device. After some research I found that the max temp for these chips are between 105 and 108 deg, so no need to worry (check Igor's Lab. HWiNFO also confirms). I though I had to set that straight as there is some dodgy information out there about the RX 9070 and 9070 xt.
